MoccaFest 2019, Thanks so much to the Society of Illustrators for having me!

Hi everyone!

I’m Kevin Speidell, an illustrator based in New York! Drawing has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I started to develop my visual language during my undergraduate studies at the School of Visual Arts in 2009, focusing on drawing and watercolor. Nowadays, I combine traditional and digital media in my work, and currently earning my MFA at the Fashion Institute of Technology.

I draw much of my inspiration from the humorous aspects of everyday life, and I’m influenced by children's books, short stories, and narrative fiction. I’m proud to have worked with a range of clients, including Time, The Boston Globe, The Globe and Mail, and Alfred Hitchcock Mystery Magazine, to name a few.

I’m open to various opportunities and types of illustration work, as I have lended my expertise to books, comics, animated films, and editorial illustration.
